Symbol
Monkey: protection against evil and good health. The Three Wise Monkeys of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The three monkeys cover their ears, mouth, and eyes with their hands. "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." (The pronunciation is the same as that of the word "monkey" and the negative verb "zaru.") This means to see, hear, or say nothing more than necessary. Nikko Toshogu Shrine houses 16 monkey sculptures.
Mount Fuji: Prosperity in business, prosperity of offspring, longevity, and security of the home. It is also said that "efforts will bear fruit" and that "the future will be bright" (thanks to the majesty of its base). The name Fuji is pronounced the same as the words for "immortality" and "security," so it is considered an auspicious symbol that brings health, longevity, and security to the home.
Three-tiered pagoda : A type of Buddhist pagoda housing the relics of Shakyamuni Buddha, founder of Buddhism. There are 13 of them in Japan.
Dragon: "Success" and "Leap forward" Ascending dragons: ascend to heaven to grant the wishes of men or offer them treasures before returning to the heavens.
Falcon: Clairvoyance, "the power to see the future" and "the power to see to the essence"
