Mount Fuji and the Full Moon: "Pearl of Fuji" refers to the rare moment when the full moon is perfectly aligned with the summit of Mount Fuji. As the name suggests, the full moon, resting on the summit, then resembles a pearl. This spectacle, visible only under certain conditions, is also considered a "miraculous moment."

The connection between the moon and pearls: for the Japanese, the full moon and pearls symbolize purity and beauty. The full moon, with its perfect roundness and soft light, shines like a pearl and has been depicted in songs and paintings since ancient times. Pearls, considered pure and precious, are deeply rooted in Japanese aesthetics.

Crane: Cranes have long been said to live for a thousand years and symbolize longevity, health, and prosperity. They are also renowned for their lifelong, blissful unions and are thus considered a symbol of marital harmony. The expression "the cry of the crane" comes from the fact that their calls are so powerful they are said to carry to the heavens, and they are also considered birds that communicate with the divine. Cherry blossoms: To ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune. The etymology of "sakura" (cherry blossom) is "sa" (the god of the fields). "Kura" comes from "iwakura" or "mikura," meaning the abode of the gods. Because cherry blossoms are considered the abode of the gods, they are revered as auspicious trees. Contemplating cherry blossoms is believed to help release past earthly desires and fully appreciate the present moment. The falling cherry petals invite us to cherish each moment unfolding before our eyes.

Pine: Thanks to its great vitality and the fact that its leaves remain green throughout the four seasons, it is attributed with the powers of immortality, longevity, eternal youth, prosperity, purification and protection against evil spirits.

Oiran: The term "Oiran" refers to high-ranking courtesans who worked in the red-light districts of the Edo period. Their role was not limited to entertaining clients; they were also cultured and skilled in the arts, which brought them closer to the realm of art. The courtesans particularly active in the Yoshiwara district of Edo were captivating with their sumptuous costumes, sophisticated hairstyles, and graceful presence.
